Little Stories Over Coffee
Have you ever had those stories over coffee with your family, friends, coworkers, future employers, loved ones? Did you ever feel as if you got to know them a lot better? Did you feel as if you learned from them? How about yourself? Did you learn something new about yourself? Did the conversation continuously flow throughout? Did you forget about time? These and more are different questions that might go through your head after the conversation ended. Well, for me, these were a few of many questions that was going through my head after I came home from hanging out and talking stories over Starbucks Coffee.
Before I even start my story, I would like to say thank you to my friend/coworker Kyle Medina for being such a gentleman throughout our shift together today. He showed me that there are men/friends out there that you can have a few laughs with and bond with. I just want to say, thank you Kyle Medina for taking the time make my night, along with Amiel and our diverse language we learned from work :-P
In the past, my coffee talk with my peers have always been about life and playing catch up with our everyday lives. Lately we have become so busy with work, school, and other priorities that we forget about just sitting down and enjoying one another's company and just laugh as loud and hard as you can. I agree with the saying "Laughter is the best medicine" because even though today was such a long day for the majority of us, we took the time to just sit down and laugh and laugh and laugh our asses off. We (Amiel, Kyle, and I) talked about our job, our life, history, and just crack jokes throughout the random conversations we had tonight.
So I would like to say, thank you guys for taking the time to make me laugh even though I wasn't feeling well today and I am looking forward to creating this bond with you guys, making it stronger and closer. Again, thank you.
So my dear readers, take some time out of your busy days and just put the phone down and catch up with each other's lives. It could be a friend, your lover, your parents, or even your children. You may just create a closer bond with the other person.
Thanks for reading again guys.
XOXO
